Tests That Must Be carried Out Before Buying Rice

China remains the largest rice producer in the world. The Middle Empire harvests more than 200 million tons of rice a year and a large number is exported all over the world.
However, cooks and consumers must be cautious: not only does this food contain pesticides used in Chinese agriculture, but according to The Korea Times, rice can also be manufactured artificially. The potato starch is mixed with plastic (synthetic resin, for example) and then takes the form of a grain of rice. The grains are then steamed with a typical rice flavor. Doctors sound the alarm against the consumption of this artificial product: three solid portions apparently contain as much plastic as a small plastic bag. An alarming fact!

With these simple tricks, you can determine whether your rice is natural or stuffed with plastic:

The water test

Pour a tablespoon of raw rice into a glass filled with cold water and mix vigorously. If the rice falls to the bottom of the glass, everything is fine, if on the contrary it floats on the surface, be vigilant, because it surely contains plastic!

The fire test

Using a lighter and a match, burn a handful of rice. If it catches fire and smells of burnt plastic, you know what to do! Do not eat it!

The mortar and pestle test

When molding a few grains of rice with a mortar and pestle, the powder should be quite white. For artificial rice, you will notice a yellow discoloration instead.

The mold test

If you want to be sure that you do not risk anything with your cooked rice, put a small amount into a tupperware and leave it in a warm place. In a few days, mold will have to appear, otherwise it is that your rice is artificial.

This is how to get it right: is the rice you buy natural or artificial? Show these different tips to all your friends so they do not take the risk of eating plastic for dinner!

Read The Testimony Of How God Delivered Chinonso From Ritual Killers

This testimony was picked from Living Faith Church, Kubwa. We belong to a covenant family....

THEY PICKED ME UP ON THE 10TH OF NOVEMBER 2016.
I BOARDED AN ABUJA PAINTED TAXI FROM DUTSE ALHAJI ON THURSDAY THE 10TH OF NOVEMBER 2016, GOING TO AREA 1, GARKI, ABUJA. UNKNOWN TO ME, THE TAXI DRIVER AND MAYBE SOME PEOPLE IN THE VEHICLE WERE RITUALISTS, THOUGH IT INCLUDED A BOY OF ABOUT 12 OR 13 YEARS OLD ON SCHOOL UNIFORM. I GREETED THEM AND NO ONE RESPONDED. I BELIEVE I WAS HYPNOTIZED BECAUSE I STARTED FEELING STRANGE. THAT WAS ALL I COULD RECALL BECAUSE I LATER FOUND MYSELF IN A ROOM FULL OF PLASMA TELEVISIONS AND CAMERAS WITH SOME RICH-LOOKING MEN AND A WOMAN. IT LOOKS AS IF THEY WERE USING THE ROOM TO MONITOR WHAT WAS HAPPENING OUTSIDE. THERE WAS A BATHTUB IN THE ROOM FILLED WITH HUMAN BLOOD. SUDDENLY, THEY BROUGHT IN A MAN, SLAUGHTERED HIM AND ALSO BROUGHT IN THE SCHOOL BOY WHO BOARDED THE SAME TAXI WITH ME; HE WAS DUMPED INSIDE THE BATHTUB. ONE OF THOSE MEN PRICED HIM FOR N1 MILLION AND AN INSTRUMENT LIKE A MOTORIZED SAW WAS RELEASED THAT BUTCHERED THE BOY INTO TWO EQUAL PARTS. THEY BROUGHT SOMEONE ELSE BEFORE ME AND AS USUAL, THEY BARGAINED AND THE HIGHEST BIDDER SAID HE WILL BUY HIM WHOLE AND KEEP HIM IN HIS WARDROBE. SUDDEENLY, THE MAN BECAME PARALYSED. I WAS THE NEXT PERSON HOWEVER I WAS NOT AFRAID. I LOOKED AT THE ARMBAND “FROM GLORY TO GLORY” ON MY ARM AND I DECLARED THAT GOD’S GLORY SHALL COME UPON ME AND I WILL NOT DIE BUT I SHALL RETURN HOME. SOMEONE PRICED ME FOR N200, 000. I WAS ANGRY THAT HOW COULD THEY PRICE ME FOR THAT AMOUNT. ANOTHER PRICED ME FOR N500, 000. THE PERSON THAT PRICED N500, 000 WALKED UP TO ME, TOUCHED ME AND ASKED THEM WHERE THEY GOT ME FROM BECAUSE THEY WERE FEELING STRANGE. HE SAID I WAS LIKE STONE AND BECAUSE OF THAT, HE WILL BUY ME FOR N300, 000 BECAUSE THERE WAS NOTHING ON MY BODY.  WHILE HE WAS TALKING, THEIR MASTER CAME OUT, WHEN HE SAW ME, HE SCREAMED “WHO BROUGHT THIS MAN HERE? THEY TOLD HIM THAT IT WAS THE TAXI DRIVER AND HE SAID THAT THE MAN SHOULD BE PUNISHED FOR BRINGING ME. HE SAID, ‘’CAN’T YOU SEE HE HAS THE MARK? CAN’T YOU SEE? HE IS A MEMBER OF THAT STUPID MAN THEY CALL ‘DAVID BISHOP’. HE ORDERED THEM TO TAKE ME BACK. ONE OF THE MEMBERS SAID THAT THEY SHOULD MAKE ME DEAF AND DUMB BEFORE THEY RETURN ME BACK SO THAT I WON’T BE ABLE TO EXPOSE THEM. HE BROUGHT A DUST LIKE SUBSTANCE AND BLEW IT ON ME THREE TIMES BUT IT DID NOT WORK ON ME. HE COMMANDED THEM TO TIE ME UP AND TAKE ME BACK. I LATER FOUND MYSELF TIED UP ON THE GROUND AND BLIND FOLDED IN ABAJI, CLOSE TO PEACE MASS TRANSIT PARK. SOMEONE UNTIED ME AND I WAS BROUGH BACK TO TOWN BY PEACE MASS TRANSIT BUS. THAT WAS HOW THE GOD OF THIS COMMISSION SAVED ME FROM THE HANDS OF RITUALISTS. HE IS A FAITHFUL GOD.
GLORY!

READ NETANYAHU ISRAELIS PRIME MINISTER'S SPEECH ABOUT AFRICANS

We not obliged even the least to try to prove to anybody and to blacks and Arabs that we are superior people, we have demonstrated that to the black and Arabs in 1001 ways.
The state of Israel we know today is not created by wishful thinking. we have created it at the expenses of intelligence, sweat and blood.....we do not pretend like other whites that we like the blacks

The fact that blacks and Arabs look like human beings do not necessarily make them sensible human beings. Hedgehogs are not porcupines and lizards are not crocodiles because they look alike. if God had wanted us to be equal to blacks and Arabs, He would have created us all of a uniform color and intellect but He created us differently whites, blacks, yellow, rulers and the ruled. intellectually we are superior to the blacks and Arabs that has been proven beyond the reasonable doubt over the years.

I believe that a Jew is honest, God fearing person who has demonstrated practically the right way of beige. by now every one of us has seen it practically that blacks and Arabs cannot rule themselves. Give them guns and they will kill each other. they are good In nothing else but making noise, dancing, marrying many wives, alcoholism, witchcraft, indulging in sex, pretending in church, jealousy, fighting and complaining of nonsense.

Let us all accept that the black man is a symbol of poverty, mental inferiority, laziness and emotional incompetence. Give them money for development they will fight and create hatred and enmity for themselves.
this proves to anybody including a stupid fool that Africans don't know what they want. isn't that plausible?
Therefore that the white man is created to rule the black man, Africans will always have day dreams. and here is the creature (black man) that lacks foresight but only sees what is near him and still fails to know what to do. A black man is stupid to the extent that he cannot plan for his life beyond a year. Therefore how can they develop and live longer.
Then which fool argues that the black man is not born a beggar, grows a beggar, looks a beggar, falls sick as a beggar and dies a beggar. this has been proven beyond reasoning. I wonder that even up to now most Africans still go to school by force and those who are at school are enemies. this is a pregnant stupidity in Africa that needs Jesus's immediate second coming. the body of Africans is very fertile for all diseases in the world, they don't fear even HIV/AIDS. This leaves me with a question are our eyes created the same with those Africans,,.? I hear there are still cultures in Africa that prohibit them from using latrines which is very annoying.
Please jam sorry to say that jam regretting to say that why did God create Africans. They cried for independence but have failed to rule themselves. For sure being African is a very untreatable disease that even prayers are not enough.
They have minerals but they cannot do anything with it therefore the whites let us go to Africa and pick what we can pick and leave what is of no use for them. poverty is a disease to the whites but to the blacks it is very normal. Jesus please hurry and save Africans and Arabs. A WORD IS ENOUGH FOR THE WISE.

Buhari Set to Deliver Nigeria As He Sign Landmark Currency Deal With China

President Muhammadu Buhari and Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Mr. Godwin Emefiele moved closer to actualizing their promise to strengthen the naira against the United States dollars by signing a landmark currency deal with the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Ltd on Tuesday in Beijing, China.
The agreement will allow Nigerian traders and businesses, which imports mainly from China conclude their transactions in the Chinese currency, the Renminbi (Yuan), instead of the dollar.
THEWILL further gathered that the new agreement would see Nigeria-China trades, which accounts for over 70 percent of imports into Nigeria, concluded in the Yuan.
Until now over 90 percent of international trades between Nigeria and the world is done in dollars, and in the process putting so much pressure on the naira. Nigeria imports almost all it needs from the West, Middle East and Asia.
The CBN is expected to diversify a huge chunk of Nigeria’s foreign reserve from the dollars to the Yuan to perfect the agreement.
"It means that the renminbi (Yuan) is free to flow among different banks in Nigeria, and the renminbi has been included in the foreign exchange reserves of Nigeria,” Lin Songtian, director general of the African affairs department of China’s foreign ministry, told reporters in Beijing a few minutes after the agreement was signed between the Governors of the nations’ reserve banks in the presence of President Buhari and President Xi Jingping of China, who is hosting Buhari and top Nigerian officials to a state visit.
Lin said a framework on currency swaps has been agreed with Nigeria, making it easier to settle trade deals in Yuan. China has signed currency swap deals with countries ranging from Kazakhstan to Argentina as it promotes wider use of its Yuan.
THEWILL exclusively gathered that Nigeria would become the clearinghouse for Yuan denominated transactions for the whole of Africa following the agreement.
Beijing also signed agreements to develop infrastructure in Nigeria, part of a drive to deepen its ties with Africa. It has offered Nigeria a loan worth $6 billion to fund infrastructure projects.
Also, ICBC signed a $2 billion loan deal with Dangote group, the company owned by Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, to fund two cement plants it plans to build, Lin told Reuters.
China’s official Xinhua news agency cited President Xi as telling Buhari that there was huge potential for economic cooperation, naming oil refining and mining.
Nigeria is also considering issuing Panda bonds (mainly Yuan denominated) as against euro bonds because they are cheaper.

As I Breastfeed My 2 Daughters, It's a Feeling That I Get

A photoshoot of a mother breastfeeding her two small children is going viral. Chelsea Craig, the mother in the images, is shown breastfeeding her two daughters, Addy and Emilynn, in photos taken by professional maternity photographer Mae Burke
The 28-year-old mother enjoyed the images Burke took. "I look at the expressions on my girls' faces and my expressions towards them, and it's a feeling that I get," Craig told People. "[Mae] put feelings into images. I told her, 'I want you to get us living life, and what it feels like for me to be their mother.' When I saw the pictures, it was just that."
Burke is a mother of three children, and started her photography career in a unique way. "I thought breastfeeding photography could be a way to separate me from the masses of photographers in Fort Worth," the photographer told Buzzfeed News.
While the pictures make a statement about the hotly contested topic of public breastfeeding, Craig does not consider herself someone that wants to force others to accept her views on breastfeeding.
"I'm very confident in the decision that this is what's right for us," the mother told People. "I consider myself a supporter of women's rights and the choices that we make as moms. For some, that's breastfeeding until the kid is 7, for some that's breastfeeding until the kid is 2 weeks, for some it's not breastfeeding at all, and that's okay with me."

In February, several breastfeeding mothers held a protest at a food court in Australia, when a woman was told to leave for publicly breastfeeding her child.

What You Should Know About Lassa Fever

Lassa fever is one of the types of haemorrhagic fevers that affects human beings and could lead to sudden death. Other haemorrhagic fevers are Ebola Virus Disease (EVD), Dengue and Yellow fever.
Some of the symptoms of haemorrhagic fever are high fever, serious headache and bleeding from the pores of the body parts which are all characterised by high fatality.
Below are some of the things you need to know about this deadly disease:
Brief history of Lassa fever disease
Lassa fever is endemic in Nigeria. It was first discovered in a town called Lassa in Borno state in 1969. It was from the name of the town that the disease got its name. Lassa fever is a member of the Arenaviridae virus family. Similar to ebola, clinical cases of the disease had been known for over a decade, but had not been connected with a viral pathogen.
Lassa frequently infects people in West Africa. It results in 300,000 to 500,000 cases annually and causes about 5,000 deaths each year. Outbreaks of the disease have been observed in Nigeria, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinea, and the Central African Republic. The primary animal host of the Lassa virus is the Natal multimammate mouse (Mastomys natalensis), an animal found in most of sub-Saharan Africa. The virus is probably transmitted by contact with the feces or urine of animals accessing grain stores in residences. Given its high rate of incidence, Lassa fever is a major problem in affected countries.
Case
In disease terminology, a case is a person who has a disease and at the same time can spread the disease to people who do not have the disease. A case could either be suspected or confirmed. A suspected case for Lassa fever is characterised by gradual onset of fever, headache, malaise, myalgia, cough, pharyngitis, vomiting and retrosternal pain.
On the hand, a confirmed case is a suspected case that is laboratory-confirmed or epidemiologically linked to a laboratory-confirmed case or outbreak.
Index/Primary case
Index case is the person that first contacts a disease. He is also known as primary case.
Primary and secondary contacts
A Primary contact is a person that has direct association with a person that has a disease. An example of a primary contact is a Doctor treating a Lassa fever patient. While a secondary contact is a person that has direct contact with the primary contact.
Major Carrier of Lassa Virus
Information from the Ministry of Health
According to a release by the Ministry of Health recently, in the last 6 weeks, Nigeria has been experiencing Lassa fever (LF) outbreak which has so far affected more than 8 states. The states affected include Bauchi, Nasarawa, Niger, Taraba, Kano, Rivers, Edo and Oyo.
The total number of suspected cases so far reported is 76 with 35 deaths, and a Case Fatality Rate (CFR) of 46%. The Ministry of Health laboratories have confirmed 14 cases, indicative of a new episode of Lassa fever outbreak.
Information on the Lassa fever outbreak as of Wednesday, January 13 confirmed that a person died as a result of the disease in the National Hospital at Abuja.
Previous report was that Lassa fever claimed 41 lives from 93 reported cases in 10 states of the country. The number of the suspected cases also rose from 86 last week to 93 this week. In addition a person died last week in Edo state.
Latest information
Thirteen states have so far been affected. The states affected include Bauchi, Nasarawa, Niger, Taraba, Kano, Rivers, Edo, Plateau, Gombe, Abuja, Ondo, Lagos and Oyo. Imo state has also recorded reported cases making the states to become thirteen.
Information learnt last week Thursday, January 14 had it that a medical doctor died in Port Harcourt, the Rivers state capital as a result of Lassa fever.
Incubation period
The incubation period of a disease is the time it takes the disease to manifest and show its different symptoms if someone contacts it. For Lassa fever, the incubation period is 21 days. Therefore, if a person is suspected to have the disease, he will be put in an isolation room for 21 days in order to confirm if he/she has the disease or not.
Medical presentation and symptoms of Lassa fever
These include: High fever; serious headache; pains in the chest region; dry and sore throat; continuous stooling and vomiting; in severe situations, there is bleeding from the mouth, nose and vagina and then death results in later stages.
Treatment
Ribavirin, an antiviral drug, has been used with success in Lassa fever patients. It has been shown to be most effective when given early in the course of the illness. Patients should also receive supportive care consisting of maintenance of appropriate fluid and electrolyte balance, oxygenation and blood pressure, as well as treatment of any other complicating infections.
Preventing the disease/mode of transmission
Rodents and rats are the main vector of the disease. Someone can also be infected from the fluid or blood of an infected person and by shaking hands with people who are seriously infected.
Other preventive measures
People should ensure their food is properly covered, either cooked or uncooked. Liquid soap and antiseptics should be used to wash the hands. Also, other rules of regular hand-washing should be adhered to always. Rodenticides should be used to kill rats, while the bush around the home should be cleared regularly. The windows and doors of the house should be closed especially when it is night time.
Any body who shows the given symptoms above should report to the hospital immediately in order to prevent people not infected from coming up with the disease.
In addition, medical personnels should wear protective gloves and mask when treating people who are infected with the disease. All efforts should be geared towards maintaining a general personal, home and environmental cleanliness.
