As her delivery for her new
baby girl
comes near, Maci Bookout got into some car trouble as her jeep flipped over and
was found overturned in the highway. Even
more terrifying
was the fact that her eldest son Bentley was with her during the accident.
On Sunday, Jan. 18, 2015, Bookout
posted photos in Instagram of what looked like an overturned jeep which
was later
righted up. In her caption, Bookout revealed that the vehicle was her Jeep Wrangler which turned over three times and came
to a stop
when it hit a lane divider.
Fortunately, the five-month pregnant star and her son Bentley, who was riding out with her
that day, managed to get off the accident with minimal physical injuries.
As of the moment, further details regarding the accident were not
released, though Bookout denied that the accident was her fault in her
Instagram post. She also thanked her friends for their concern and support over her and her children (counting
her unborn baby), as well the makers of her jeep for making it secure enough in
keeping them safe during the accident.
Last month, Bookout’s
ex and her son’s father Ryan Edwards also got into a car accident on Friday, Dec. 12, 2014. According
to PD officials interviewed by TMZ, Edwards’ car and another car
driven by an unnamed woman had a head-on collision. Though reported not to be
severely injured, the other driver was taken to the hospital while Edwards had
his wounds patched up on the spot and had a friend pick him up from the
accident scene.
Bookout and Edwards both starred in MTV’s “16 and
Pregnant,” which chronicled their lives as young parents, though eventually the
two broke up. Bookout is currently pregnant with a baby girl with her
current boyfriend Taylor McKinney.
In an interview with
In Touch, Bookout revealed that she and McKinney plan to get
married this year, preferably some time after their daughter is born.
“I don’t want to be a pregnant bride. That would be
way too stressful! Plus, I want to be able to have fun at my wedding,” Bookout
shared.
