Oritsefemi Hired to Sing In Jonathan’s Campaign

President Goodluck Jonathan has reportedly hired singer, Oritsefemi to perform for his nationwide campaign. The “Double Wahala” singer will now be on Jonathan’s campaign team and is expected to perform at the next rally in Akure, Ondo State, Vanguard reports.
Oritsefemi is said to have secured the job after his performance at
the campaign launch which took place at the Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos on Thursday, January 8.

The president was reportedly pleased with the star’s performance and even sang along to his songs.
The deal was finally sealed after Oritsefemi sang a special campaign song for Jonathan titled “Great Jonathan.”

Oritsefemi had earlier been asked, during a January 2 interview with Daily Times, if he was campaigning for anybody to which he answered:
“My brother, I’m a neutral man. I can play for anybody irrespective of their political parties or the position they are vying for.”

In 2010, Oritsefemi released a song titled “Flog Politicians (Koboko)” in protest against the injustice meted out by political office holders in Nigeria.
