Early Wednesday morning, Milla Jovovich and her
husband, writer/director Paul W. S. Anderson, welcomed their second child, a
baby girl named Dashiel Edon Anderson. The new addition was fashionably late,
too — Jovovich's due date was March 29.
"Milla delivered her second daughter
Dashiel Edon early this morning. Both Mama and Baby are doing great.," her
rep told The Insider With Yahoo. "Milla, her husband Paul, and
big sister Ever are overjoyed to welcome Dashiel into the their family and are
all spending some quality bonding time together." Little Dashiel joins 7-year-old Ever
Garbo Anderson, who, apparently, is as excited for the new addition as her
proud parents and more than willing to share her wardrobe with her younger
sister.
"[Ever] keeps saying, 'Don't get her anything new. She can wear
all my clothes," Jovovich revealed recently with a laugh. "She's so
economical."
But Ever isn't the only
family member who was busy preparing for the baby. On January 20 — roughly 10
weeks before giving birth — the star took to Facebook to open up about her
pregnancy and launch a daily "countdown to delivery" food diary for
her fans.
"I've gained all
the baby weight I need to have a healthy pregnancy -30 lbs.- and as of last
week, I've started having to be really careful about my lifestyle so I don't
continue to gain unnecessarily; which is not healthy for me OR my
newborn," she shared.
"I'm really proud of myself for not gaining the same amount of weight that
I did with our first child (75 lbs.) because I have to be ready to start filming Resident Evil- The Final Chapter in August of this year and I will also
be nursing an infant simultaneously." She then moved on to specifics of her "ideal daily diet."
"Just so you
understand, when I say diet, I'm not talking about losing weight, I'm talking about what I'm eating on a daily
basis. I don't want to lose ANY weight right now, because at 170 lbs. I'm at a
perfect pregnancy weight for my height and build. I want to maintain where I’m
at; my ideal being 175 all together (with a total of 35 lbs. gained over all
through out my pregnancy). I also want to be the healthiest I can to ensure the
easiest delivery and no stress post birth when I have to establish a nursing
routine, as well as, slowly getting myself and my family ready to move halfway
across the world to make a big action movie with a lot of stunt work!
Phew!"
However, just because she's one of the most successful
female action stars on the planet doesn't mean she didn't have anxiety this
time around. "I don't know what we would have done if the baby was a
boy," she confessed.
But
while her candor made us smile, something tells us the Resident Evil star would have been able to handle a
boy just fine, even though it likely would mean she couldn't take advantage of
Ever's generously offered hand-me-downs.SOURCE: Yahoo Celebrity
