Kwara State University (KWASU), will soon begin
to study Nollywood according to the institution's Vice-Chancellor, Prof.
AbdulRsheed Na’ Allah.
Speaking at the Conference on African Cinema, with the theme; “African Cinema and the Supernatural”, organised by the University, Prof. AbdulRsheed Na’ Allah,

he has inaugurated a committee for the establishment of the centre for

He said that when operational, the centre would be charged with the responsibility of highlighting the role and effect of Nollywood films in the society.
Na’ Allah said that the conference was part of the University’s aim of building bridges between scholars and those who promote culture outside the university.
The vice-chancellor said that the essence of the conference was to redefine the progress made by the nation in terms of arts and culture for the benefit of all.
