Ondo PDP Excos Resigned Their Positions

Four members of the State Working Committee ofthe Ondo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party have resigned their positions.
The former state party executives cited the need for harmonisation of ‎various interests within the state party and a desire to ensure that President Goodluck Jonathan wins presidential election in
the state and the entire South–West.

They said this was the reason they were resigning from their offices. The members of the SWC that resigned are State Financial Secretary, Chief Wemimo Olaniran; State Legal adviser, Mr. Yomi Akinfemiwa; State Vice chairman (Ondo-Central), Mr. Adeduro Charles and the State Auditor, Mr. Akindulureni Sampson.
The resignation of the state executive members was c
ontained in a letter addressed to the Acting National Chairman of the PDP, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu.Copies of the letter, which was dated December 2, 2014, were also sent to President Goodluck Jonathan and the Senate President, Sen. David Mark.


Some members of the party in the sate are said not to be comfortable with the clout of the State governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, who recently defected from Labour Party to the PDP.They were said to be afraid that his coming defection could rub them of their importance in the ruling party in the state.
