“I’m Not Worried About Losing My Place To Welbeck” – Giroud

Olivier Giroud has insisted he is not worried about his place in the Arsenal team, as he gradually makes his return from foot injury. The Frenchman has been out since August and Arsene Wenger has brought in Danny Welbeck from Manchester United in a £16million deal.
Earlier in the summer, Alexis Sanchez arrived at the Emirates from Barcelona and both front men have been in superb form for
the Gunners.
“It’s good for competition. I think it will be better for the strikers to have plenty of options up front. I am happy with that.
“If you are good on the pitch, good in training you will have your chance. I’m not worried about my place. I have a strong mentality, I will be back. I think it was the best solution to buy Danny. He is an important player for us, like Alexis. They have been doing well but I think there is still a place for me in this team.”
Giroud also stated that he can play in the same team with Welbeck and Sanchez, as they both bring different qualities to the team.
“Danny likes to move a lot,” Giroud said. “I think me, Danny and Alexis are complementary. All three together? Why not?

“The way the club has recruited these last few years, we can see the ambition. We spent a bit more money than before. I think we have everything except we had bad luck with some injuries these last months but I think we will do a good end of the season. Before we had the quality but not too much quantity. Now we have the quality and the quantity.”
