James Maslow Shows off His Six-pack Abs in Dancing With The Stars

Pop star James Maslow has already been called the ‘eye candy’ of the latest season of Dancing With The Stars. Now the Big Time Rush star has proven he is more than happy to use his sex appeal to stay in the show - showing off his immaculate six-pack abs to................
maximum effect.

On the night that former hockey pro Sean Avery and swimmer Diana Nyad became the first contestants eliminated, James initial joked that he and pro dance partner Peta Murgatroyd could dance naked to make sure they stay in the running.

And while they did not go that far, James and Peta - a potential couple who had dated before the show - showed plenty of flesh, with Peta in a tiny white bra and panties and James letting his body show through an unbuttoned white shirt. When joking about being naked, James said he expected everyone to still ‘focus on the great technique’ - something the judges failed to do.

‘Daaayum!’ Carrie Ann Inaba gushed excitedly, giving James a nine.’I am so glad you chose the Salsa - you knew what you were doing when you made that choice.’

She happily admitted that her thoughts during his performance were completely on his sexiness, not his dancing. ‘To me there’s a “sexy hall of fame” of all the Dancing With The stars contestants in the past, and it includes Mario Lopez, Corbin Bleu, and it also includes Gilles Marini,’ she said. ‘With that dance, to me, you just joined that Hall of Fame.’

Bruno Tonioli seemed equally excited by the sight of James’s smooth chest and abs showing though his unbuttoned shirt.

‘More of that please,  he said. I have to say James you’ve come out of your shell - and you’ve got the abs to prove it.’ And new co-host Erin Andrews joined in the admiration, insisting it was good enough reason for viewers to cast their votes and keep him in the show, with his votes of Carrie Ann’s 9 and two 8s from the other judges seemingly making it a safe bet.

Pointing at him still with his shirt undone, Erin turned back to the camera and said: ‘America, vote for this. Please.’

James had been open with his plan to use his sex appeal when Petra reminded him in rehearsals that Len Goodman had dubbed him the ‘eye candy’ of the season.

‘I think the best way to do that is to take that criticism and perhaps wear less clothing for our Salsa dance,’ James told his partner. 

‘But still expect the audience to focus on the great technique, because even though I don’t have a shirt on, perhaps no pants - we might just do it full nude - I want the audience to focus on the technique,’ he joked.

’It’s just a suggestion, whatever you think is appropriate.’

After his performance, he also teased viewers that there could be more to come. Asked what other tricks they had coming, James said: ‘We’ve got a couple, so if you keep us on we’ll show you.’

While James’s abs were the talking point of the second week’s dances, it was the threat of another potentially dramatic episode that could prove a later highlight.
