UNILORIN reprimands 40 Students for Violating Dress Code and Expels Three Others for Internet fraud and Theft

The University of Ilorin has announced the expulsion of three undergraduate students for an alleged internet fraud and theft.
According to a report in the university’s bulletin, one Adeyemi Daniel Oluwaseyi of the Basic Medical Sciences was found guilty of unlawfully taking possession of ATM card and PIN belonging to another student while Mkperedom Olalekan Okon of the Arts Faculty was............
found guilty of internet-related fraud.
The institution also reprimanded forty other students of the school for violating the university’s dress code. Those found guilty received caution and were asked to write an undertaking, promising to be of good behaviour. They are to report to the Students’ Affairs Unit at 8:00 a.m. every Wednesday.
UNILORIN explained that the dress code was one of the university’s measures to instil morals in students and staff.
The report also said that four other students dragged before the institution’s Students Disciplinary Committee for theft were exonerated.
It added that two students, Fajimite Oluwafemi Ayomide and Ajayi Dorcas Oyiza of the Faculty of Communication and Information Science, accused of examination malpractice, were also discharged and acquitted.
