The Ondo State House of Assembly has elected a new
speaker. Ms. Jumoke Akindele representing Okitipupa Constituency II was elected
by a majority vote at the state House of Assembly session in Akure this
morning.
Akindele emerges the speaker after pulling Thirteen (13) votes
She is the first female
Speaker of Sunshine state.
Akindele who is a lawyer
by profession was until her election, the Chairman, House Committee on
Education in the house.
